Digital strike: Govt bans 59 Chinese apps including TikTok

New Delhi: As tensions along the border continue, the Central government has decided to ban Chinese apps diverting data and those with privacy issues.

Government has announced a ban on 59 such Chinese apps, including TikTok.

Government has decided to disallow the usage of these apps both in mobile and non-mobile Internet-enabled devices.

Among the apps that have been banned are TikTok, Shareit, Kwai, UC Browser, Baidu map, Shein, clash of Kings, DU battery saver, Helo, Likee, YouCam makeup, Mi Community, CM Browsers, Virus Cleaner, APUS Browser, among others.
